Today June 1st 2014, at Albany County Vietnam Memorial site, in Lafayette Park; 25-30 National Grid volunteers teamed with members of the Tri-County Council Vietnam Era Veterans to work as a team, in restoring the landscape of the area. Many dump trucks of gravel, stones & dirt were delivered for the early morning task of beautifying the site.

Albany's Mayor Kathy Sheehan & Assemblyman John McDonald were present to view the site. Importantly, 3 Special Guests were present; Gold Star Mothers' Marie Ladouceur (Lanny '70) & Dorothea Rockenstyre Richard '67) - are Vietnam Moms and GSM Rev. Charlene Robbins' son, (Robert), was the first Capital Region Casualty in Iraq (2004). NOTE: M. Ladouceur (walker) - Rev. C. Robbins (hard hat & vest) - R. Rockenstyre (cane)

God Bless these fine men & women, who took the day of rest and gave their all to assist in this endeavor to make Phase Three, a reality for the Vietnam Memorial. People of the Capital Region - National Grid is our friend and thank them for this and our Please Remember Me project's help.

 Peace - Gene
